About The Restaurant Group

We’re The Restaurant Group (TRG for short) and we’re one of the UK’s biggest hospitality businesses. We have a diverse portfolio of well-known and much-loved brands, operating approximately 400 restaurants and pub restaurants up and down the country.

Our principal trading brands are Wagamama and Frankie & Benny’s. The Group also operates Pub restaurants and a Concessions business which trades principally at UK airports.

Our diverse portfolio of brands provides something for everyone and we love the variety that comes from working with all of them.

1989

We purchased Mexican food chain Chi Chi’s and rebranded it Chiquito.

1991

We opened our first TRG Concessions Branch, Garfunkel’s, in Heathrow Terminal 1.

1995

Frankie and Benny’s is born with our first restaurant opening in Leicester.

2006

We open the first ever Joe’s Kitchen in Bromley.

2007

We added 14 pub-restaurants to our offering with the acquisition of Brunning & Price.

2011

Coast to Coast is established in the UK alongside it’s Scottish equivalent, Filling Station.

2017

Launch of the new Firejacks concept in Northampton.

2018

A big year that saw us welcome two new brands into the family, Food & Fuel and Wagamama

Where Next?

We love what we’ve built and we’re really proud of the journey we’ve been on…but we’re not finished yet. It’s a really exciting time for us as we continue to develop our offering and guest experience, challenging the industry status quo to make something special.

We’re pursuing other growth opportunities within the dining sector, exploiting online brands, delivery, click and collect, grab and go and more.
